Annual Security & Fire Safety Report

Texas State University publishes a combined Annual Security & Fire Safety Report for the San Marcos Campus and Round Rock Campus.

In the report

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report section covers information applied to both campuses which contains material concerning campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention; university police law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the university will follow when one of these crimes is reported, and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus.

Three years of data included

The report also contains crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus (including in on-campus student housing facilities); in certain non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by TXST or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

Fire safety

The fire safety report section includes fire safety policies, procedures, and a description of safety systems applicable to the San Marcos on-campus residence halls as well as the three most recent calendar years of fire statistics associated with such facilities.
