CSA Training Information
Who is a CSA?
CSAs are identified by key personnel at Texas State University who are responsible for Clery compliance. Once identified, CSAs will be notified via email and provided with information on why they were designated as CSAs and what their responsibilities are under the Clery Act.
Training
CSAs must take an online training course annually on the SAP Portal (for employees) or via the Canvas platform (for third party employees or volunteers).
How to Register on SAP (for employees):
- Sign on to the SAP Portal.
- Once logged in, click on the SuccessFactors (SF) Learning tab under “General Business Apps.”
- Under "My Info" select "Learning."
- Locate this workshop by searching for the course title “CSA Clery Training” in the "Find Learning" field to the right-hand side of the screen.
- Click on "Assign to Me" and complete the training.
How to Register on Canvas (for non-employees):
- Sign on to Canvas.
- Once logged in, click on the Courses tab to the left-hand side of the screen.
- Then, click on "Browse More Courses" and search for the course title “CSA Clery Act Training” in the name box to the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click on "+Join this Course" and complete.
The Clery Act Compliance Coordinator may also provide in-person training to individual CSAs when deemed necessary or upon request.
